The Public Indicator of Income for Multiple Effects (IPREM) is an index used in Spain as a reference for granting aid, scholarships, subsidies or unemployment benefits, among others.
This 2022 has brought the rise of various rates and economic indicators and the IPREM, despite having been frozen for several years, has also been affected.
This index was created in 2004 to replace the Minimum Interprofessional Salary as a reference for the aforementioned aid.
In this way, the IPREM was rising at a slower rate than the Minimum Interprofessional Salary, complicating access to aid for people with more modest economic situations.
IPREM AND FOREIGNERS
One of the functions performed by this indicator is to determine the accreditation of economic means in procedures such as the application for residence authorization for family reunification, non-profit residence authorization, long-term residence authorization-EU, among others.
This year the Public Indicator of Income for Multiple Effects has risen this year by €14.12, so the amount is positioned at:
- Monthly IPREM: 579.02 Euros
- The annual IPREM (12 payments): 6,948.24 Euros
- Annual IPREM (14 payments): 8,106.28 Euros
